How to Install a Printer on Windows 7 PC

This is the option to click if you want to add new printers to the computer properly. Once clicked, you will be asked about what type of printer that you want to install. To respond to that question, click “Add a local printer” option. Next, choose “Use an existing port” option.

 

3. Install the Printer Driver

Now it is time to install the printer driver. Windows has several printer drivers already on the system and ready to use. However, if the printer that you have at home does not have any of its driver on the system, download the printer driver first and then install it to the computer.

 

4. Connect the Printer via USB

To complete the printer installation, most of the times you will be asked to connect the actual printer to the computer. The most common method to connecting the printer to the computer is using USB port. Connect the printer and finish the installation.

 

5. Try the Printer

When the installation of the new printer is fully done, go to control panel to see if the new printer is already listed there. Now, try to print a document or draft to make sure that the printer can be used properly. If the steps above are all done correctly, there should not be any problems with the printing trial.
